Self-innovation is needed for sustainable development: VC, JUST
Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) vice-chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said, if we can create our own products and patents, then sustainable development will be possible. The university will try to develop its own products and patents. Because sustainable development requires own innovation.
On Tuesday in the central gallery of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Academic Building of the University, Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain opined these points. In the event, nine innovative ideas were presented by various departments, offices and students.
Professor Dr. Md. Anwar Hossain said that the university of which country sleeps can never grow. That university can never improve a nation. If there is no awakening among the youth for the development of the country, the nation will never reach the pinnacle of development. He directed the concerned to organize a large-scale innovation exhibition in the month of December this year.
E-governance and innovation action-planning team convener Dr. Nasim Adnan presided over the event while JUST treasurer Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman; the convenor of the team related to the annual performance contract, Prof. Dr. Md. Iqbal Kabir Zahid; Director of Institutional Quality Assurance Cell Prof. Dr. Md. Nazmul Hasan and others spoke at the program. The Dean, Chairman, Heads of Departments, teachers-students, officers and employees of various faculties were present on the occasion.
